Welcome to the CSRA Hydrangea Society website. We are located in Aiken, South Carolina and serve the Central Savannah River Area. The society was founded on October 3, 2003 by a small group of enthusiastic gardeners who wanted to promote and share their knowledge of the genus Hydrangea. The CSRA Hydrangea Society is dedicated to the education and growth of both old favorites and the newest varieties. Please join us in our obsession.

Speaker: Everette Jones of Shady Characters, Plants for the Woodland Garden
Topic: Companion Plants for Hydrangeas
Everette and Karen Jones own Shady Characters Nursery, 2771 Wire Road near Aiken. They have a passion for gardening, particularly shade gardening, and they both enjoy sharing their gardening experiences with others. At the first meeting of the CSRA Hydrangea Society for 2010, March 18, Everette will be telling about plants that are great companions for hydrangeas. Many of the plants that Mr. Jones will talk about will be available for purchase at the annual CSRA Hydrangea Society Plant Sale, June 5, 2010, at the Aiken Farmer's Market.

Garden tours are at your leisure during these times. Three beautiful gardens will be open for visitation to our participants, two exquisite private gardens and the Hydrangea Gardens at Pendleton King Park featuring 75 varieties of hydrangeas. Volunteers will be present to answer questions. Driving directions will be provided. |
Pre-registration fee for one day conference including garden tours is $15, received by June 10, 2010. Registration after June 10 is $20 and based on space avaliability.
